There are approximately 11 instructional days in this unit, including one scheduled “catch up day”.
The focus of this unit is to provide experiences with measurement. Students will explore qualitative comparisons, using non-standard units to measure and compare quantitatively, and develop language to describe weight and length.
While not necessary for the lessons, the following books are literature connections with a measurement focus:
